A mildly spicy pizza sauce that is quick to prepare. This recipe uses only a handful of ingredients and requires no cooking before spreading on a pizza dough.

I make most of my pizza sauces with tomato paste instead of fresh tomatoes. This avoids the worry about it making the pizza crust soggy. I also add fresh tomatoes as a topping, allowing them to roast beautifully while cooking the pizza.

If you’re looking for something spicier, add some chili flakes or dry chili powder to this recipe. I needed to feed some spice sensitive individuals, thus opted for a mild sauce. Were it only for me, I’d create a sauce with a strong bite.

This sauce goes well with the Almond Pizza Dough and the cauliflower crust.
